After more than 10 years working in accounting and finance, Aidan Oliver and Charlie Rooney decided to take the leap and launch ROCA in November 2022. For the first year, while building an incredible client base, they both retained their full-time positions at their respective employers, working every hour possible to lay the foundations of a unique company.
ROCA’s goal from day one was extremely clear - to provide a proactive, reliable accountancy service that helps real people build their dream businesses.
By November 2023, ROCA was ready. Bespoke internal and client-facing systems and software had been built, the client base was growing steadily, and the team’s dedication to client service remained unwavering. ROCA was, and still is, committed to becoming a respected and well-known name that clients can rely on.
After a year of refining and tailoring the client experience, it was clear that it was time for ROCA to expand. Jack Cain joined the team as Client Director. Having previously worked with Aidan and Charlie, the team knew the level of talent being brought on board. Jack’s ability to deliver work to the highest standard while maintaining strong client relationships is second to none. His impact on both the business and the client journey has been immense so far.
Fast forward another year, and ROCA has gone from strength to strength. Turnover has increased by 175% year on year, and the team has grown to six dedicated professionals. Each team member works tirelessly to ensure clients receive outstanding service and operate as tax-efficiently as possible. The team’s commitment to service remains the biggest driver of ROCA’s success, and the firm takes pride in offering one of the most thorough and personalised accounting services of any small practice.
